ADVAN Light Weight Racing Wheels
Made in Japan
Introduction for individual wheel pages. When you fit ADVAN Racing wheels to your car you're fitting a strong, light weight, world class performance part. ADVAN Racing wheels are designed to allow you to fit wide tyres for more grip, reduce your vehicle's 'un-sprung weight' for fast acceleration, fast braking and responsive handling. They're also designed to clear large brakes such as Brembo and Project mU.

High Technology Casting For High Performance.
Each wheel is 3D modelled and strength tested. High quality aluminium is cast in Argon Gas to avoid impurities. The mould angle is computer controlled to prevent air bubbles. Coolant then fills the mould casing for rapid computer controlled cooling to give the aluminium superb mechanical properties and uniform composition.
Flow Form Technology Applies Pressure Similar to Forging.
Production of the inner rim uses Flow Form Technology that applies pressure to the rim area after casting, stretching and forming the material. This causes the metal to flow imparting the tensile strength similar to forged wheels. This offers greater strength and shock resistance over conventional cast wheels.
Heat Treatment.
The rapid cooling done in the mould during casting allows the wheels to go through T6 heat treatment. This is vital to stabilise wheel characteristics such as strength, rigidity and elongation. It also rmoves stress points and improves roundness to achieve exact measurements.
Finishing - Now we finally think about the bling factor.
Finishing determines the wheel's appearance. Most wheels go through substrate powder coating, baking, coating, another baking, clear powder coating, more baking and then a 3-coat and 3-bake process. If hyper-type paint is used another round of coating and baking is also added. Then the final step, which gives the finish its superior appearance, uses a special power paint in a 100 micron thick film which results in a very smooth finish. ADVAN Racing branded wheels are also engraved with the brand.
Tested on the world stage
Yokohama provides wheels to race teams which feature the same design and finish as the normal street wheels. The challenge of motorsport contributes directly to the quality and performance of our wheels.
World Touring Car Championship
Italy's Scuderia Pro Team race BMWs using the ADVAN Racing RS wheels in the WTCC.
Production World Rally Championship
Japan's TASUK Engineering race a Mitsubishi Evo X and use ADVAN Racing RCIII wheels in the PWRC.
